Mid July 2022, WAMS had brought some extremely happy news to the hydrographic community in Brazil announcing the arrival of the 40FT container containing the very first in the country iXBLUE DRIX Uncrewed Survey Vessel to the Porto de Santos.

The Drix USV is a versatile autonomous platform designed and manufactured by iXBLUE to perform various offshore survey operations. This robotic system is commonly regarded by the industry as an absolute champion in its class featuring increased efficiency of the overall operation cycle from operation planning, operation execution until client data delivery.

WAMS has purchased two Drix units form IXBLUE thus far, with the first one soon to be ready to deploy anywhere in Brazil being easy to incorporate into the existing crews and projects to expand our clients’ technical capacity and making them able to offer to the market a competitive service taking advantage of the latest generation unmanned robotic systems for cost-effective and environmentally aware offshore missions.
